Sail Away, a company for skipper services in nautical tourism was founded in June 2018. Founder and owner Philippe Perković has acquired the skills for vessel management while he was a child. Driven by the desire for change and greater freedom in the business world, he started professional training in 2016 at a sailing school on the island of Murter. There he completed 14 day course of basic and advanced sailing on sailboat models: Adria 1020 (starkel) and Beneteau First 36.7. After mastering the basic and advanced sailing program, Philippe took a course for "Skipper" category C up to 30 gross tons. The desire to work in top charter companies was the reason for upgrading the knowledge and skills by taking the additional course "Become a skipper" in a skipper's agency. After gaining all the qualifications and the necessary experience in managing catamarans and sailboats, he started working as a skipper on charter sailboats. Shortly after the first successful charter season, Philippe took additional course for the "Yacht Master" up to 100 gross tons. After completing over thirty charter weeks and 3,000 nautical miles sailing, he starts to engage in international charter boat transfers to Croatia from France, Greece, etc. Sail Away has partnered with largest charters in the market such as Sunsail and Navigare, and provided service to many clients from different countries. He has also collaborated with other charters that hold a big share of the sailing business such as Dream Yacht, Waypoint, Cata sailing. From the very beginning the top priorities of the Sail Away team are the satisfaction of clients, good organization, excellent level of service and tailoring the unique experience of leisure sailing, cultural sightseeing and the highest quality gastronomic scene that can be found on the Croatian islands and along the coast.
Sail Away is a lifestyle to us. "Sail" takes us to unforgettable travel experiences. It reveals to us the wonders of nature, hidden coves and historic cities. It gives us the perfect unique moments of sunset on board. It tests our sailing skills when the wind is relentless. "Away" means getting away from our everyday routine and worries, away from small offices and computer screens. And we succeeded, we sailed in a new direction of life.
